Why am I a photographer? Why are some people physicians, or poets? I have been walking around with a camera in my hand since I was eleven years old. It didn't matter what else I was doing, I always enjoyed looking through a lens.

Why do I photograph maternity, newborns and children under five almost exclusively? After watching my wife have our first child, spending almost every day with that child from seven months on as a stay at home father, and watching her grow into the very active two year old she has become, I can not think of anything more beautiful than what I choose to photograph. Recently, upon the arrival of our son, I really decided how I wanted to make my photography look. There are several photos of my family in the galleries.
